Now on it’s 5th year, the AEC Cornhole Tournament is hosted by the previous year’s winning team’s company. Along with bragging rights and a pretty sweet heavyweight belt, the hosting company also choses the charitable organization that benefits from the event. All proceeds go directly to that organization and together this annual event has raised almost $50,000 towards local charities. We are doing amazing things over some bags and beers!
Kyle and Dan with SeamonWhiteside won last year’s event and this year’s organization isn’t just near and dear to our hearts at SW+, it is our heart. The Kenny Mile Foundation was established in 2021, after the passing of one of our founders, Kenny Seamon. He loved designing the places that we all work and play in Mt Pleasant. He loved being outdoors. The KMF focuses on the implementation and buildout of the Mount Pleasant Way connecting people and designing places they want to be together outside. The town broke ground on the first phase of the Kenny Mile on date of date with a completion goal of date. The KMF isn’t stopping with one mile dedicated to Kenny though. Our aim is to support the construction and maintenance of the greenways throughout all of Mount Pleasant.
